The project of turning a book of 17 short stories very loosely connected in the one movie is a daunting task. Producer Robert Connolly parceled the task of putting prose into film out to 17 different directors.
Toy Story 2
As a fan of Pixar movies, I wanted to see sequel to the first full feature Pixar movie, Toy Story. With the first Toy Story was appealing because the idea of making toys come alive was new. Part 2 is simply more of the same.
Blue Jasmine
Perhaps the single best decision Woody Allen made to get back his creativity was to move the location of his movies out of New York. Blue Jasmine takes place mainly in San Francisco although there are periodic flashbacks to New York and its summer playground, the Hamptons.
The Gods Must be Crazy (I and II)
Many moons ago, I heard about a comedy in which a Coke bottle plays an essential role. A Coke bottle is dropped out of an airplane and falls from the sky into the hands of a primitive tribe that had never had contact with civilization. So tribesmen think that “Gods must be crazy” for dropping such an object.
The Internship
Google is one of the most desirable employers in the world. Getting a job there is not easy. When two middle aged watch salesmen lose their jobs and their prospects for a stable income, one of them comes up with the idea of applying for an internship at Google, which offers the chance of landing a permanent job with this new tech icon company.
